ElCycle Biweekly Song Pick - ElCycle Is Dead
So it’s come to this. Today is the very last time the four of us will be publishing song picks. And it’s all your fault. Not ours. Not God’s. Not society’s. It’s your fault. You should have been listening to each and every one of our song picks and commenting on how much you enjoyed them. You should have downloaded all the podcasts on iTunes, you should have visited the chat, you should have gone to the forums, and you should have joined our fucking Facebook group and written on its wall. And you should have donated us money so we could afford better podcast equipment. You didn’t have to give us all you had, but would 12 monthly installments of $20 for the privilege of reading the content on our website have been too much to ask? I don’t think so. We shouldn’t have had to ask. You should have just come through. Honestly, I don’t know how you live with yourselves. The sad thing is, you probably won’t even look at this, so you’ll never even realize what horrible human beings you are. I’m glad we’re ending the website. You’re not good enough to be entertained by us.
- Zach - “Last Goodbye,” by Jeff Buckley
- Shane - “Don’t Start a Band,” by the Reel Big Fish (or a website for that matter)
- Karl - “Everything You Do is a Balloon,” by Boards of Canada
